Cakewalk Sonar Tips from Cakewalk

Thanks to one of my good friends I discovered this set of tips for Cakewalk Sonar directly off Cakewalk's web site. Cakewalk, we need more of those!

Articles on JSonar.org

In case you haven't noticed… We have been growing a collection of articles and FAQs on this site to help musicians get started with Sonar and JSonar. Please use them! or

JSonar 4.3 released!

Announcing release of JSonar 4.3 for use with Cakewalk Sonar 4.0× (4.04 is strongly recommended)!

New and fixed:

  • Support for verbosity settings in JAWS 9 and higher.
  • Support for Cakewalk Sonar 4 LE.
  • Fixed crashes when switching between tabs in track inspector (seems to work only with Sonar 4.04).
  • Other minor improvements and changes.

Please note: this is going to be the last version of JSonar4 after which the product goes into “retirement” or “low maintainance” mode. We strongly suggest to upgrade to later versions of Sonar. “Click here to download”:[/drupal/dow

JSonar8 alpha is released!

Since I know that some JSonar users already rushed out to buy Cakewalk Sonar 8.0, so I am rushing to get this alpha to you so you can start using it.

What's new:

  • Adjusted JSonar to support track view toolbar of Sonar 8.0.
  • You are now able to access properties for some of the controls in the track view toolbar.

JSonar 7.1 for Cakewalk Sonar 7.02 is now live!

This is to announce arrival of JSonar 7.1 for Cakewalk Sonar 7.02 into JSonar family of scripts. What was initially intended to be a bug release turned out into another major version, full of features, changes and bug fixes.

JSonar team is looking for translators

The success of every open source and community-driven project lies in the community itself. So we are now turning to the international community of JSonar users:

we need translators

If you are well-versed in computer recording terminology or simply a person who likes challenges and know any of the following languages:

  • German.
  • French.
  • others?

Please Get in touch with us today to help us to translate JSonar into these or other languages.

JSonar Keystrokes

This is a draft version of the JSonar Keystrokes guide, but I thought to throw it out there so JSonar users can start using it.

Enjoy!
