As we progress towards an official release of JSonar8, I want to update readers on the latest features and fixes found in the daily builds of this version of JSonar. Read on!

Introducing Support for Clips Pane:

  • Use INSERT+CONTROL+DOWNARROW to move to clips pane and ESCAPE to get back to previous Pane.
  • Once inside clips pane, use left and right arrows to move between available clips.
  • Use left mouse click to select a clip and right mouse click to access its properties. JSonar will attempt to report if the current clip is selected as you navigate between them.
  • Use left mouse doubleclick to open the current clip in the Loop Construction View.

Please note: for some unknown reason muted clips are not seen by JAWS, so be careful using this option.

Language Support

  • Adding support for Swedish language: installer, Readme file and script messages (courtesy of Janne Svensson).
  • Additions to Russian messages for JSonar8.

Plug-in Windows

  • F6 key now switches between the preset toolbar and plug-in window and vice versa. This fix should be particularly important for users who rely on older Cakewalk plug-ins such as Cakewalk Chorus, Amp Simulator etc. This fix also makes it much easier to use such plugins as Sony's Wave hammer and softsynthes such as Live Synthe Pro and Jamstix. Thanks to Phil Muir for helping out with this fix.

Installer

  • Introducing experimental support for uninstallation log for the JSonar installer. This means that JSonar installer will now remember which files have been installed by the installer and will not touch files that have been added by the user after installation. This is particularly important for HSC sets as we don't want to touch sets that users created for themselves..

Audiosnap Pane

  • Introducing rudimentary support for audiosnap pane.
  • There is now a new view called “audiosnap pane view”.
  • When inside the Audiosnap pane press F6 to jump to the audiosnap toolbar from which you can access various related controls. If a control is checked, JSonar will say “button … checked”. Please note that Audiosnap toolbar should be enabled for this feature to work.
