Hi,
I'd agree that I'd take a PCI-based system for preference - I only went down
the USB route because I needed a mobile solution.
Best wishes.

Subject: Re: [Jsonar] Inter face question
Personally, I stayed away from the USB/Firewire problem by going with PCI,
and it works great on my new vista machine made by dell.
The only complaint I have is that I must turn off my wireless connection
to avoid crackling, but this takes all of 2 seconds with my shortcut.
Also, with the vista machine and speech recognition turned on, I can
control Sonars basic commands hands free, which is super cool when recording
with a guitar in your hand.
Maybe the nightmare stories I heard about vista were valid a year ago, but
I must say at this point I am quite happy with it, and running dual quad
2.6, it runs laps around my old XP single processor Pro machine at 3.0 GHz.
If anyone knows of a solution to the crackling with a wireless adapter,
I'm all ears.
Oh, almost forgot, the sound card is a Delta 1010 and I have 4 Gig of
memory, think that covers the esentials.
Out.
Che
