Hi one way of doing it is to sellect the track in question and then open an event view. In there you will see any events or clips existing on that track. try either deleting one of them straight away or if ya don't know which is which, change the start time of one of them till you know which one you need to get rid of.
 Hope this helps a bit
Joe

  Subject: [Jsonar] Deleting clips

  Hi Folks

I'm busy with a project in which it seems two clips are recorded over the same section in the song, on a vocal track. I need to remove one of the clips without affecting the other take.
This probably happened when I pasted some vocals into an existing area, and did not adjust the option for "paste as new clips" to be "paste into existing clips". Now it seems the previous clip is muted there, and the new clip plays, as if there is only the new data, but then when I copy from this area to another position in the song, both clips play there, unless I also choose "clip automation" in the copying!
Besides it is quite disconcerting to know that all kinds of muted clips could be lurking around my projects, taking up resources or at least space in the project, and I don't even know how to manipulate them.
Any suggestions on how to deal with clips will be so much appreciated.
Particularly, I would be happy to be able to unmute and sample a clip independently and then delete it if I find it is useless material.
Now some time ago I think I remember seeing that the clips pane is rather a pane to work with, but have we made progress since then?

How about manipulating clips in the event view?
If we really can't work with independent clips, is there a way to ensure that data will always copy and paste, or record into existing material without adding additional clips?
I'm using Sonar 5 with JSonar. When I press Control Page Down to supposedly get into the clips pane, Sonar freezes!

Thanks to the JSonar team as always for a great product.

  Kind regards to all,

  Yamuna
