Hi Roy,
Thanks for the post. I pressed hsc mod +f1 twice quickly and don't see a
refresh option. Also, while in session drummer 2, I pressed hsc mod +f1 to
pull up the list of hotspots and did not see a refresh item in the list
either.
Where do I find the refresh option?
Thanks!
Regards,
Justin

have you tried refreshing the keymap by choosing "refresh keymap"
from the hsc actions menu?
cheers
Roy.

Phil, when you say...
I use the program browser to load up the session drummer 2
programme
what is the program browser and what are the steps to get to
it? The way I am getting to session drummer pad 1 is as follows:
1. open my project
2. go to the synth rack view and down arrow to session
drummer 2
3. press the letter p for the properties of the session
drummer 2 so the session drummer 2 properties dialog opens
4. hsc session drummer sets are loaded automatically
5. press alt+1 for pad 1 to try to access the context menu -
nothing happens and I hear vst external plug in window.
Oddly, the hsc tab sequence works with hsc mod + tab and
shift tab even though the pad context menus will not appear.
Maybe you are performing this a different way and this is
why it is working for you and not for me?
Please let me know how you are doing this step by step.
Thanks!
Regards,
Justin

ok, I'll reinstall. You are performing alt+1 on a

correct?
Phil replied: correct. I use the program browser to
load up the session drummer 2 programme then, closed out the programme
browser with Alt F4. Then, pressing Alt and the number 1, caused the menu
to open for pad 1.
Justin wrote: btw what jsonar version are you
running?
Phil replied: tested this in Sonar 5 and 7. By the
way, I hope that any of you who are using .HSC sets, don't have your plug-in
Windows docked. I know this used to be recommended in the JSonar read me
however, this will definitely cause sets to not work as advertised. If this
information is still recommended in the JSonar readme then, this information
should be updated.

Your .HSC set isn't working as
advertised. Have tried it here and if i use the keystroke, Alt plus number
1 on the top numbers row then, it brings up the menu for pad 1.

Unfortunatley, this did not
work. I press alt+1 then hear external vst window. I then press the jaws
right mouse button and no context menu pops up.
Any other ideas?
Thanks!

Justin

try selecting the
pad with Alt 1. Then, press the jaws right mouse button to click on the
menu.

When I press
alt+1 for pad1, the context menu doesn't appear. I just hear vst external
window. I then press the applications key and nothing happens. However,
selecting the instrument menu works and immediately the context menu appears
for load/unload.
When I press
alt+1, I am assuming it selects the pad but I am unable to right click it.
Any ideas?
thanks!

Would have thought that you would just load a different kick into pad one.
Mind you, you will probably need to clear pad one first. Think that may be
an option on the right click menu for pad one.

Subject: [Jsonar] changing drum sounds in session drummer
All,
I created a drum kit using session drummer and saved it. I now want to
change the kick drum sound but cannot figure out how to do this with an
already saved and loaded set.
The saved kit is already loaded and used in a song. I bring up the session
drummer 2 dialog to change the kick drum sound. I first choose pad 1, which
is my kick, to select it. I then select instrument menu to load a new kick
sound to pad 1. However, this doesn't work.
Again, I have an existing kit loaded and it was already saved. I am now
trying to change the kick drum on that saved kit.
Is this possible? If yes, how?
Thanks!
Regards,
Justin
