Hello Folks,
A quick question. In the SFZ menus, using Phil's scripts, I find two things I would like to understand, which are not in the SFZ help.
The quality menu: with the options of Draft, 08, 12,16, 24,36,48,60,72.
What is this?
The Mode menu: with options SF32, SF16, PR32, PR16, DFD.
Also not sure what this is.
Problem: I'm trying to isolate a clicking sound I get when playing Sound fonts using my midi keyboard via SFZ. Usually with bases, pianos Etc. This happens most of the time when a key note is pressed, almost as if the sample is "clicked" in, and most distinct when playing chords. Yes, I've even tried moving the polyphony to 256 notes. I've tried adjusting the above-two settings with no luck, so at this point, just curious as to their function.
I'm using a Motu 896HD sound card. I don't seem to experience this at all using other synths - for example TTS1, so wondering if it could at all be a driver update which could resolve this one. The problem is consistent under WDM and ASIO, again, using SFZ particularly.
Tonight I'll be trying to use Sound Fonts under VSampler so will report back on how that goes.
In the meantime, anyone has any tips for me with VSampler I would also very much appreciate this.
Thanks folks.
YJd
