[Jsonar] A step recording question

Without a MIDI keyboard, the only way to enter notes would be from the event
view, so far as I know.

Hello,
I don't have any MIDI keyboard as of yet, I thought that I could enter notes
with the help of step recording and didn't need a midi keyboard or am I
wrong now?
