hello,
Ok so let me get this right. The current hardware i have will be used to run jaws with and a new sound card would be used for the audio and all output from sonar? At the moment i have a very cheap c-media usb sound card which doesn't work but that's pretty understandable coz it's pretty low quality. Please correct me if i am wrong in understanding anything. Earlier someone said in there post about instant messaging and stuff. i am a student and need that sort of software. so is there a way round that? Someone suggested to partition the hard drive.
hanks

Hi Chaman,
Well if your driver is up to date then it should work, but probably in wdm mode rather then asio.
But as you probably know. Sonar is almost as expensive as your laptop, so the audio hardware used should reflect this, and a good usb audio card will do fine. For example a
Creative XMOD
or if you wanna go crazy: an
Asus Xonar HDAV1.3 Deluxe
Best regards
Brian

hello,
I am using a sound card which was builtin my dell. it's an idt high definition. i can adjust the buffer settings in sonar but i can't change them in the control pannel as that is not accessible with jaws. The laptop has a 2.16 processer and 3 gb of ram. i am running windows vista home premium. The virus software i am using is avast.
