WILL THAT NOT MOVE THE CLIPS AND CAUSE THE PIECE TO BE OFF?

Try this. select the track where you wish to remove the breath. Then, go
to where it starts. Press function key F9 at the start of the selection
then, go to the end of the selection and press function key F10. Now press
the delete key. That will remove the audio.
