Chris,
>From my experience, you have to be a little bit careful here.
I bought Music Creator 3.0 several years ago and tried to use the JSonar
scripts with it. Although some things functioned properly, the program
wasn't very useable until I modified the JSonar scripts to work with MC 3.0
(these are on Vic's web site now). As it turns out some of the class IDs,
Window Names, etc. are a bit different between the full version of Sonar and
Music Creator and the JAWS scripts for Sonar probably will need a bit of
tweaking.
I recently purchased SonarLe (which has all the functionality I need), and
am finding some of the same issues when used with the JSonar scripts. For
example, although many functions work great, I am unable to use the F9 and
F10 keys to set selection bounds and keep getting a "window not found"
error. I suspect that, again, JAWS is looking for a window with a slightly
different class ID than is present in the Lite edition of Sonar. I've also
had some trouble with the Cakewalk FX in SonareLe (but don't know if these
last problems are common to the full version of Sonar).
I'm wondering whether its worth tweaking the JSonar scripts again to work a
bit better with SonarLe or just break down and buy the Sonar Studio or Home
edition (the least expensive version that will work fully with the JSonar
scripts). I don't know how many people out there use SonarLe. I suspect
that most people are using the Studio or Producer editions and it may not be
worth tweaking the scripts to run better with SonarLe.

Hello,
I haven't bought it yet but am interested in feedback on Music Creator
accessibility with jsonar. For $34 U.S it looks tempting. However, if
the software isn't readily accessible, it ends up being money wasted.
I was impressed with the ease with which Kelly was able to create a
project with Sonar and jsonar. For the price, it seems unlikely that
music creator as as much functionality, but I'll wait for comments from
the list.
Chris
